FxPro in Namibia: choose the platform first.

Distances here are long and the line into the house is often a mobile one, which changes what “best platform” means. It stops being a contest of indicators and becomes a question of recovery: when the signal disappears halfway through an afternoon, what do you need to be looking at your account again two minutes later? The reassuring part is that an open trade is not stored on your device at all — it lives at the broker’s end, and every terminal is a window onto it. So this desk starts with the five platforms and what each demands of a connection, then reconnecting, documents, money in and out, and the price of a trade.

CFDs are leveraged products and carry high risk to your capital.

Platforms

Five platforms, judged by what they demand

All five are switched on inside the same client portal, FxPro Direct, and nothing stops you running two at once. Judge them on the practical axis: does this platform need software on one particular computer, or will it open on whatever device is nearest and still connected?

Installed
MT4

The classic terminal, heaviest to set up and the most written about; Standard quotes from 1.2 pips.

Installed +
MT5

Same family, more instruments and timeframes — and the same tie to the machine it sits on.

Order book
cTrader

Depth-of-market pricing, raw spreads plus $3.50 per lot — the specialist of the five.

Zero install
FxPro Edge

Opens in a tab, remembers nothing about the hardware, and is back in seconds after a reboot.

Charting
TradingView

Charts first, with the FxPro account connected behind them.

Four of the five offer a demo — TradingView is the exception — the sensible way to find out whether a platform suits your line before real money depends on it. The FxPro app carries Google Play 4.5★ with 10M+ installs and App Store 4.4★ per the store listings.

Recovery

When the line drops

This is the question that keeps new traders awake, and the answer is calmer than the fear: your positions are not held on your device. They are recorded at the broker’s end, along with any stop or limit attached, and your screen shows a view of that record rather than the record itself. A dead connection removes your ability to act; it does not close, open or alter anything.

  1. Attach the exit before you need it. A stop or a limit sent to the server keeps working while you are offline, because it is held where the position is held. An intention kept in your head needs a live connection to execute.
  2. Keep a second way in, already signed in. Phone on mobile data while the desktop uses a fixed line, or the reverse. The account is identical through both, so switching devices costs only the seconds it takes to unlock the phone.
  3. When you get back, read the account, not your memory. Open the position list and the order history first. Whatever happened while you were dark is written there, and acting on an assumption is how one lost signal becomes two mistakes.
  4. Sign in through FxPro Direct for anything administrative. Deposits, withdrawals, documents and password resets live in the portal — never inside the trading terminal.

Registering, and getting verified in one attempt

Registration asks for an email address and little else. Verification asks two things — who you are, where you live — and on a slow link it is worth doing once, carefully, rather than three times in a hurry.

  1. Register in FxPro Direct. The email you use becomes the portal login and the address every reset goes to — choose one that will outlive the phone in your hand.
  2. Identity: the national identity card or a passport. Photograph it flat, in daylight, with all four corners inside the frame. A cropped edge is refused more often than slightly soft text.
  3. Address: a recent bank statement or a utility bill. It must carry your name and the street address you entered when registering. Moved since? Correct the profile first — a mismatch is the usual cause of a rejected upload.
  4. Choose Standard or Raw+, then fund from $100. The price list sets out what each costs; the deposit sheet covers how the money gets there.
Deposit

Getting $100 onto the account

A first deposit starts at $100 on a card or a bank wire, according to FxPro, and e‑wallet providers each publish a floor of their own. FxPro charges nothing for the deposit itself. Funds land in the FxPro Wallet before you assign them to a trading account, and since the account is priced in dollars, your own bank performs the exchange.

Payout

Money on the way back

Withdrawals retrace the route the deposit took: to the card that paid, or to the bank account that wired. FxPro states that neither direction carries a charge from its side, while the banks in the chain keep their own terms. Requests are made in the portal, so a payout can be started from a phone in minutes of signal.

Price list

What a trade costs

Two account types answer the same question differently: should the cost be hidden inside the price, or shown as a separate charge on a tighter price? Both sets of numbers below are FxPro’s published terms.

Account · Standard
from 1.2 pips
  • Commission none
  • Cost lives in the spread
Account · Raw+
from 0.0 pips + $3.50 /lot/side
  • Commission $3.50 /lot/side
  • Cost shown separately

cTrader is priced the same way as Raw+: from 0.0 pips plus $3.50 per lot per side. Every “from” figure marks the tightest the spread gets, not the usual one — quotes widen when the market thins, locally the early hours before Europe arrives. Overnight positions accrue swap, and swap-free versions exist according to FxPro; an inactivity fee starts after six months; leverage runs to 1:200 depending on the account and on eligibility.

Two things worth reading before any money moves: client funds are held in segregated accounts, apart from the company’s own, and negative balance protection stops an account going below zero — according to FxPro.
